Hi - I'm Caroline

"I've always had a love of music - They say do what you love and love what you do. That phrase couldn't be more appropriate. You can find me either listening to music or playing it! I have such a varied taste in music, from classical and show music to the latest chart tunes and r n b, which allows me to showcase so many genres of music on my instrument."

"As a harpist I enjoy adding to the elegance of an event. After all, live music plays such a crucial role in creating the right ambiance at an event and I love that I'm able to be a part of such meaningful and special occasions"

I'm able to bring my experience of playing at such a wide range of events and weddings to any occasion - from hotels to secluded and remote locations, garden parties to the more conventional wedding (although each one is unique!) I've built up an array of scrapbook moments in my career so far and I'm always looking for new and exciting ones to add to it. Whether it's a sophisticated or a relaxed atmosphere you're after, I'm here to help you make it a moment to remember.

My Story

The factual part....

I learnt 4 instruments growing up - definitely a busy bee! I began learning the harp aged 8, in my home county with my inspirational teacher, Lynne Creasey, who allowed me to explore this fascinating instrument. I have such fond memories of learning with Lynne and this is when I first developed my love of the harp and soon afterwards won a music scholarship to Brentwood School. Whilst at Brentwood, I accepted a place at the Junior Royal Academy of Music where, aged 15, I gained so much performance experience, studying under Miriam Keogh ARAM.

In the next chapter, aged 19, fortunate enough to be awarded places and scholarships to study at several conservatoires, I continued studying at the renowned Guildhall School of Music and Drama, London, under Charlotte Seale and Imogen Barford and was excited to be at the hub of the music scene. I then had a change of scene at The University of Bristol, where Ruth Faber ARCM taught me, allowing me the space to develop as a harpist and musician.

During my years of playing the harp (20 in total!), I've taken part in masterclasses with highly acclaimed musicians and harpists Maria Luisa Rayan-Forero, David Watkins, Marisa Robles, Catherine White, Sioned Williams and Helga Stork among others. I've also received orchestral coaching from the London Symphony Orchestra harpists Bryn Lewis and Karen Vaughn and have performed in various impressive venues such as the Barbican Hall, Mansion House, Wimbledon events and exclusive members clubs in London to luxury wedding venues such as Leeds Castle, Hengrave Hall and Hedsor House. All of these experiences have had a huge impact on me and my experience as a musician and have shaped me into the harpist I am today.

After graduating with first class honours, I've been able to follow my heart and to develop my passion of performing into my career (although I don't really see it as work!) and I love that I get to share it with everyone. I can't imagine ever doing anything else.

Behind the scenes

My other passions in life other than music are good food and spending free moments with the family. Being active and staying fit and healthy is really important to me (which is crucial when you've got to move a harp which is almost the same weight as you!) and I've recently developed the travel bug, exploring the world and everything it has to offer.

I also love the other side of my work which is teaching-  teaching in schools as well as from my music studio, where you can also come for a consultation, relax and we can really get to know each other and talk all things weddings and events to put your mind at rest and make sure everything is just so!

I'm incredibly ambitious and definitely a perfectionist. Life is almost aways busy, but I can't imagine it being any other way and that's the way I love it - carpe diem!
